Carlton is the world's favourite daffodil, i.e. it is the most commonly
grown variety. This is because it is strong stemmed, late flowering, and
has a large, long-lasting flower. The picture shows some long
established Carlton flowering by our river. Below Carlton in a vase. Big bulbs, (as we sell), produce big flowers. I took the lower picture of Carlton flowering beside the A96, north of Aberdeen, so they are pretty hardy too. ![]()
