Variety: Dark Leafed and Paeonia flowered Dahlias
Flowering height: approx 3 ft
Month(s): flowers from July until the frosts
Cultivation tips: Plant 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. Protect your Dahlias from wind damage. After the first frost, lift tubers and lay the roots and foliage in a frost-free shed or garage. Once the foliage has died back, cut off approximately 15cm (6") from the tuber. Store in dry peat in a frost-free position. They can be left in the ground with a mulch of bark in warmer climates with lighter soils. Re-plant into the garden the following spring. |
