| Variety: Orchid Honka Dahlias | |
| Flowering height: 28 to 36 ins | |
| Month(s): July until the frosts | |
| Cultivation tips: Plant 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. Protect your Dahlias from wind damage. After the first frost, lift tubers and lay the roots and foliage in a frost-free shed or garage. Once the foliage has died back, cut off approximately 15cm (6") from the tuber. Store in dry peat in a frost-free position. They can be left in the ground with a mulch of bark in warmer climates with lighter soils. Re-plant into the garden the following spring. | |
