| Cultivation tips: Position in full sun, with a neutral to acid soil. Dig the area well and fork in plenty of well-rotted compost. For heavy soil, add grit to the planting hole and cover the bulb with sharp sand before replacing the soil. After flowering, leave the bulbs in containers and bring into a warm and frost-free position, reduce watering to keep the plants only just moist, or lift the bulbs and store. Plant 6 ins deep. | |
