Snowdrops
& Bluebells "In the Green"
Buying English snowdrops and English bluebells in
the green is a more reliable way of achieving success than planting dry
bulbs, ie. as one would buy and plant in the autumn. The bulbs we offer are
naturally grown and harvested under controlled conditions. We are very adamant
that no more than a few days should pass between the lifting of the bulbs, and
their arrival at our customers' address. This way the bulbs remain fully viable.
In our opinion the relatively small additional cost of buying bulbs in the green
against buying dry bulbs in the autumn is well worth the extra outlay.
Bulbs in the green may be ordered
at any time during the year, although they can only be delivered from
mid-February until the end of March. Given that in most years there is a limited
supply of both snowdrops and bluebells, it is wise to order as early as
possible, in that we supply against oldest orders first.
