Clare Bulb Co comment: Turkestanica was one of the original tulips found by Dutch merchants when they first traded with Turkey in the 15th century. From this and several others were the tulips we know today bred. This variety spreads well. The leaves are a silvery green and attractive in their own right. Very good at naturalising.
